Trying out a different setting on my camera so I got Lady to sit for a photo, though it did take chocolate drops to persuade her to sit still!

Lady is our 7 year old cross breed who we adopted just over 5 years ago from our local rescue centre. She was given up by her previous owners because their child was allergic to her. Lady was in the centre for several months without anyone taking an interest simply because they were put off by the fact that she is missing her right lip so her teeth are showing. We aren't 100% sure how she lost her lip but the centre have assumed she was attacked at some point when she was young. We think it was by a smaller dog as she gets very defensive when faced with smaller dogs though she has settled down massively over the years and socialises quite well now.

We absolutely adore her and our family wouldn't be complete without her. She is spoilt rotten with attention from us and people that we meet when she is out. I'm just glad we could give her a loving home after so many people turned her down just because she looked different. Their loss is definitely our gain
